Field Application Scientist (FAS) (m/f/d)

Your mission

As a Field Application Scientist at NanoTemper, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge biophysical technology and customer success. You'll serve as a trusted scientific partner to researchers and biopharma teams, delivering expert application knowledge that brings measurable value to customers while driving product excellence. This customer-facing role combines hands-on technical expertise, scientific communication, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our solutions seamlessly integrate into customer workflows and accelerate their research outcomes.

What You'll Do:

Customer Engagement & Support (70%)

Lead customer demonstrations and support pre-sales technical discussions
Deliver installation, on-site support, and application-focused trainings

Scientific Communication & Representation (20%)

Present at webinars, workshops, and conferences
Develop application notes, protocols, and technical content with Marketing and Product Management

Market Insight & Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)

Gather market trends and customer feedback for Product Management and R&D
Complete administrative tasks (expense reports, timesheets) within required timeframes

Your expertise

PhD or MSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
2+ years laboratory experience with protein characterisation, drug discovery, or biophysical techniques
Strong understanding of biophysical methods and laboratory instrumentation
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 60-70%
Background in antibody development, formulation science, fragment-based drug discovery, or biomanufacturing is a plus
Experience with NanoTemper technologies or similar biophysical platforms is a plus
Customer-facing role experience (technical support, applications, sales support) is a plus
2+ years GMP experience is a plus
